STORY
The Jaguar E-Type was designed by a team led by Malcolm Sayer, an aeronautical engineer and aerodynamicist.
Sayer was largely responsible for the iconic design and aerodynamic properties of the E-Type.
Sir William Lyons, founder and CEO of Jaguar, also had a significant influence on the final design, particularly in terms of aesthetic and functional aspects.
The Jaguar E-Type Series III was introduced in 1971 and produced until 1975. Equipped with a 5.3-litre V12 engine producing around 272bhp, it was more powerful and comfortable than its predecessors.
Design changes included a wider track, larger tires and a more distinctive front end. It was available as a 2+2 coupe and as a roadster.
Improvements such as standard power steering and a modernized interior made it particularly attractive for the US market.
Today, the Series III is a sought-after collector's item and represents the transition to more luxurious sports cars in the 1970s.
PERSONAL STORY
This Jaguar E-Type Series III has a remarkable history.
Originally exported to the USA, it found its way to Austria in the 1990s.
There it was restored by the renowned Moser workshop in Gmunden. This workshop, known as the best in Austria, specializes in English classics and has given the E-Type a new lease of life.
The stunning color combination of Jaguar silver and blue leather gives it a sporty and elegant look. Thanks to Moser's expertise, this legendary sports car now shines in all its historical and aesthetic value.
