Lancia Flaminia Convertible

STORY

The Lancia Flaminia Cabriolet is an elegant and timeless car produced in the 1960s by the renowned Italian car manufacturer Lancia. The Flaminia series was first introduced in 1957 and quickly became one of the most desirable luxury sedans of its time. The Cabriolet version was particularly popular due to its appealing design and top-notch performance.

The story of this convertible begins in the elegant streets of Rome in the late 1950s. A wealthy businessman named Alessandro Conti, a lover of luxury cars, had heard about the Lancia Flaminia and was fascinated by its reputation as an elegant and powerful vehicle. Conti, who had a soft spot for convertibles, decided to buy himself a customized Lancia Flaminia Cabriolet.

He contacted the prestigious coachbuilder Touring Superleggera in Milan, known for its craftsmanship and for producing some of the most exclusive coachwork. Conti and the talented designers at Touring Superleggera worked closely together to create a unique convertible that embodied both luxury and sportiness.

The result was stunning - a bespoke Lancia Flaminia Cabriolet with an elegant, curved body that retained the lines of the original but added a touch of extravagance and sophistication.

Conti was delighted with his custom-built convertible and took every opportunity to explore the picturesque streets of Rome in it. The car quickly became a symbol of glamour and elegance in Italian society.

Over the years, Conti's Lancia Flaminia Cabriolet became a sought-after collector's item, presented at car shows and exhibitions throughout Europe.

The story of this unique vehicle illustrates not only the craftsmanship and design skills of Touring Superleggera, but also the fascination that emanates from the elegant and powerful cars of the 1960s. To this day, the Lancia Flaminia Cabriolet remains a timeless symbol of style and class.
