STORY
The Alfa Romeo 2000 Touring Spider is a remarkable automobile from the 1960s that attracted attention for its elegant shape and powerful technology. The story of this vehicle begins with the partnership between Alfa Romeo, a renowned Italian car manufacturer, and Carrozzeria Touring, a well-known Milan-based coachbuilder.
The car was first presented as the Alfa Romeo 2000 at the Turin Motor Show in 1958. The touring version of the Spider, designed by Franco Scaglione, was introduced in 1960 and combined modern design with the sporting performance for which Alfa Romeo was known.
Under the hood, the Alfa Romeo 2000 Touring Spider was equipped with a 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine that offered considerable power for the time. The engine's performance was backed up by a five-speed manual transmission and independent front suspension, giving the car impressive driving performance.
PERSONAL STORY
This 2000 Touring Spider was owned by a collection in Vaduz for 30 years and was restored during these years with an eye to authenticity. It has been driven on various trips and rallies in the Swiss mountains and has been in our collection for several years.
